∙ All coaches and players will be required to sign a waiver before participating in any practice or game.
∙ If a player, coach, official or spectator has any symptoms or has tested positive for COVID 19, they will follow the required isolation period (10 days) and be symptom free prior to attending any HHBA event. If a player, coach, official, or spectator has been deemed to have been in close contact with anyone with COVID-19 the following restrictions will be adhered to prior to attending any HHBA event: Familial household contact, quarantine 5 days, be symptom free, and produce a negative test result after the 5th day. All other contacts, quarantine 3 days and be symptom free.
∙ Please practice social distancing and stay 6 feet apart wherever possible while at the park. PLAYERS AND COACHES GUIDELINES
∙ Players and coaches should social distance as much as possible during practices and games. Players in the batting cage should be limited to allow for proper social distancing. All drills during practices and warm-ups should be done in a way that allows the kids to stay 6 feet apart.
∙ Handshakes, high fives, group celebrations, etc. shall be limited when possible, between players and coaches. It is recommended that the players lineup on the field after the game and tip their cap to the opponent as a team as a sign of good sportsmanship.
∙ All players should bring their own drinks and snacks to the field. Team snacks after the games are discouraged.
∙ All coaches should wear masks when in close contact with a player if social distancing is not possible, i.e. mound visits, talking to a batter, if in the dugout in close contact with players.
∙ Players will be separated in the dugout and bullpens while not on the field with designated spaces to sit and for their equipment. If social distancing is not possible within the space provided, face masks should be worn by players.
∙ Players should have their own helmet, glove, and bat. If catcher’s equipment must be shared it shall be disinfected before being used by another player. If a bat is shared by players, it must be disinfected between uses.
∙ Baseballs should be rotated on a regular basis to limit individual contact. ∙ The dugouts should be disinfected before and after use by the coaches.
∙ All spectators should follow best social distancing practices – stay six feet away from individuals outside their household. Facemasks are encouraged to be worn by all spectators.
∙ Only 1 parent or guardian should attend any practice to limit the attendance at the field. ∙ Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating/portable chairs. Seating at the field will be limited. Spectators shall sit with only members of their own household and stay six feet away from others outside their household.
∙ The water fountains will be closed.
